LANDSCAPE DESIGN STYLES

Drought-Tolerant (Xeriscape)

Looking for a sustainable way to give your yard some pizazz? The latest surge in xeriscape has made designing a water conservation yard easier to get started. The best thing about drought-tolerant landscape design is that it is easy to maintain. Being that the plants don’t require much water means you’ll be able to save some money on water costs and still have a beautiful yard. Also in some cities, there’s an incentive from your local waterworks company.  Typical plants you’ll find are succulents, agaves and contrary to popular belief you can find several flowering plants to give your landscape a pop of color.

Modern

The modern landscape is a beautiful mix of symmetry and balance that doesn’t rely solely on the vegetation. The striking balance between plants, minimalistic design and structural accents made from materials like wood, stone or metal play integral roles in creating a synergistic effect.

The use of hard lines and geometric shapes also plays a role in designing a modern landscape. You’ll consider the use of gravel-filled beds or carefully placed pavers throughout the design. Typical plants you’ll see are bamboo, ferns, and other greenery to bring forth a simple elegance.

Traditional

If you’re looking more for a classical design then recreating the traditional garden might work out better for you. This style of landscaping offers the most versatility as it allows you full control of creating a well-defined outdoor space with unlimited options of plants. You can opt for a classical all-American garden style, or perhaps go with a European inspired version. Maybe you’re wanting a tropical oasis or something similar to an old English cottage. Whatever aesthetic you choose we’re here to help you build it.
